Fill using fluid pump fill the rear differential with fluid. until fluid starts dripping from the filler hole. NOTE: It took about 1 Qt. and the remainder of the front fluid to fill the rear. As for leaks on the engine ABOVE the pan gasket, the likely culprits are either the VANOS line, valve cover gasket, or likely the oil FILTER housing gasket (NOT the oil PAN gasket). The oil filter housing gasket is also NOT the o-ring you replace in the black plastic cap over the filter. It's more of a pain to replace. Just did my power steering reservoir/filter/cap and fluid (CHF11S). Used the from above/turkey baster method after replacing the reservoir. Did three fluid replacements, and it still took just under a liter (had bought a spare just in case).
